Directions :
Antibacterial especially formulated to combat infectious processes where the causative agent is sensitive to penicillin. Effective against Gram positive and some Gram negative
bacteria, both aerobic and anaerobic .
Among the aerobic includes beta hemolytic streptococcus , Streptococcus equi,
and Staphylococcus no beta-lactamase producer. Among anaerobes are all
bateroides species clostridium and non-producing beta-lactamases.
It is indicated in Neunomias , Mumps (acute phase) , Arthritis, Leptospirosis, metritis, Skin infections and soft tissue infections, Tetanus (with antitoxic and supportive therapy),
Actinobacillosis , Paratific Abortion , Septic arthritis , polyarthritis of foals by Streptococcus zooepidemicus , nephritis , pyelonephritis and respiratory infections in general.
Agents susceptible to penicillin:
Gram positive: Actinomyces, Arcanobacterium ( Corynebacterium ) pyogenes,
Bacillus anthracis, Clostridium, Corynebacterium renale, Corynebacterium pseudotuberculosis , Dichelobacter ( Fusobacterium ) nodosus , Fusobacterium
necrophorum , Listeria monocytogenes , Staphylococcus spp , Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus spp , Streptococcus equi, Streptococcus zooepidemicus.
Gram -negative: rusopathiae Erysipelothrix, Haemophilus spp, Moraxella spp, Neisseria spp , Pasteurella spp .
Spirochetes : Leptospira spp , Treponema hyodysenteriae .
Target species : Equine sports.
How to use: Shake the bottle gently before use.
Apply Intramuscular only.
Dosage:
As total dose it is suggested 20,000 IU of penicillin per kg, which is equivalent to
apply 1ml every 20 kg.
Treatment should be repeated every 12 or 24 hr, or professional's criterion . It will be evaluated in each case and according to the sensitivity of the germs, the antibiotic treatment duration.
