Injectable antibiotic indicated in cattle, horses, sheep, pigs, goats, dogs and cats.
Penicillins (benzathine, potassium, procaine): 400,000 U.I.
Streptomycins (strepto and dihydrostreptomycin): 166.6 mg.
Excipients c.s.p .: 1 ml.
The product achieves high and immediate levels of penicillins (penicillin G potassium and penicillin G procaine) in serum. They last for several days thanks to
the slow absorption of benzathine penicillin G With the addition of Streptomycin and Dihydrostreptomycin, the spectrum of action is extended since they act against gram negative germs.
It is indicated in all cases of infections caused by germs sensitive to penicillins and streptomycins. In infections secondary to surgery, superficial and deep abscesses, castration, actinomycosis, actinobacillosis, equine adenitis, arthritis-polyarthritis, pneumonia, bronchopneumonia
bacterial, bacterial or symptomatic carbuncle, cystitis, colibacillosis, endometritis, erysipelas of pigs, leptospirosis, nephritis-pyelonephritis, onfaloflebitis, osteomyelitis, otitis, necrotizing pododermitis (pneumonia), mastitis, pneumoenteritis, pasteurellosis, metritis.
CONTRAINDICATIONS AND WARNINGS
Like all medicines, keep out of the reach of children.
Store in a cool, dry place protected from light, between 5 ° and 30 ° C. Once reconstituted use immediately. The reconstituted product maintains its qualities for 14 days if it is stored in a refrigerator between 2 ° and 8 ° C.
Do not administer to animals with known hypersensitivity to penicillins.
In canines and felines, ototoxic effects can be observed if it is used in high doses and during prolonged treatments
Recommended dose for penicillins:
Cattle and horses: 8,000-15,000 IU / kg live weight.
Sheep, pigs and goats: 10,000-15,000 IU / kg live weight.
Canines and felines: 20,000-40,000 IU / kg live weight.
Recommended dose for Streptomycin and Dihydrostreptomycin:
Cattle and horses: 5-10 mg per kg of live weight.
Sheep, pigs and goats: 10-20 mg per kg of weight.
Canines and felines: 10-15 mg per kg of live weight.
Administer intramuscularly (IM).
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:
Remove the metal disc from the seal that covers the cap of the bottle and disinfect the latter. Using a hypodermic needle with an internal diameter of not less than 0.8 mm, inject the diluent into the bottle. Remove the needle and shake vigorously until the suspension is completely homogenized. Inject some cubic centimeters of air into the bottle and slowly aspirate the suspension.
