Bovicine I (Ivermectina 1%)

Bovicine I (Ivermectina 1%)

Anthelmintic against internal and external parasites.
COMPOSITION
Ivermectin 1%

Its active compound (Ivermectin) belongs to the family of the Avermectins and is isolated from the mycelia of Streptomyces avermitilis. Ivermectin is a potent broad-spectrum agent at very low dosage levels against internal (round worms) and external parasites (mites, lice and other insects). The action of Ivermectin influences the nerve endings -strictly speaking- or between a nerve fibre and a muscular fibre.

Ivermectin enhances the release of GABA (Gamma Butyric Acid), a chemical compound which acts as a neurotransmitter. High quantities of GABA at synaptic level leads to a block of the specific receptors placed at the nerve endings, which produces an interruption in the nerve circuits of the parasite and its eventual death because of paralysis. This way of acting is what makes Ivermectin different from other families of antiparasitic substances.

DOSAGE:

• Bovines: 200 microgrames per kg of weight. Equivalent to 1 ml per 50 kg of weight.

• Porcine: 300 microgrames per kg of weight. Equivalent to 1 ml per 33 kg of weight."

ADMINISTRATION:

SC Injectable.

PRESENTATION:

50, 100 and 500 vials of sterile injectable solution.

OBSERVATION:

Bovines:

BOVICINE is indicated for the treatment and control of the following species of parasites:

- Gastrointestinal roundworms (adults and larva), Ostertagia ostertagi, O. iyrata, H. placei, T. axei, T. columbiformis, C. oncophora,, C. punctata, B. phlebotomun, O. radiatum, N. helvetianus, S. papillosus.

- Lungworms (adults and larvae), Dictyocaulus viviparus.

- Hypodermosis, Dermatobia hominis, Hypoderma bovis, H. lineaturn.

- Paraphilosis, Paraphilaria bovícola.

- Thelazia spp.

- Sucking lice, Lignonatus vitulli, Haematophinus eurysternus.

- Mites, Psoroptes comunis bovis, Sarcoptes scabiei bovis

It is indicated to cooperate with the control of parasitic infections produced by:

- Lice: Damalinia bovis.

- Mites: Chorioptes bovis.

Porcine:

BOVICINE is indicated for the treatment and control of the following species of parasites:

- Gastrointestinal roundworms, Ascaris suum (adults and larvae), Hyostrongylus rubidus (adults and larvae), Strongylloides ransomi (adults and larvae).

- Lungworms, Metastrongylus spp.

- Lice, Haematophinus suis.

- Mites, Sarcoptes scabiei suis.

COLLATERAL EFFECTS:

At recommended dosage, Bovicine doesn't produce adverse effects in bovines and porcine due to the fact that the main neurotransmitter at peripherical level in mammals is not the GABA but the Acetylcholine which gives the technician who will administer the product a high grade of confidence.

RESTRICTION:

Bovines: Do not destine meat obtained from bovines to human consumption until 35 days after from the last application of the product. Do not administer in dairy animal neither 28 days before labor.

Porcine: Do not slaughter treated pigs until 18 days after the last treatment.

SUGGESTIONS:

- It is suggested that the animals to be treated were not under stressing conditions neither before nor after administration of the product (long confinements, bad treatment, high temperatures during long periods, malnutrition or fiver).

- Do not mix in the same syringe or vial with any other substance alien to it.

- Always consult your veterinarian.

- Destroy after use, do not contaminate the environment.

PRECAUTIONS AND WARNINGS:

- Do not administer via intravenous or intramuscular.

- Do not administer in stressed animals.

- Adjust the recommended dose to the animal weight in order to prevent over dosage.

- Do not swallow. Keep out of the reach of the children and pets.

- Keep between 0 and 30ºC; in a dry and clean dark place.
