Raxidal

Raxidal

Description
Injectable chemotherapy

Indications
Raxidal® proved its effectiveness in indications that have preferential importance in the clinic of large animals. Based on its broad spectrum, the preparation can be applied against primary bacterial infectious diseases, as well as bacterial infections secondary to viral diseases in cattle, horses, pigs, sheep, cats and dogs. As special indications (after the results of clinical trials) can be highlighted:
Respiratory system infections: Laryngitis, nonspecific infections, bronchitis, bronchopneumonia, pneumonias, tonsillitis, pharyngitis, non-specific cough, etc.
Infections of the urogenital system: pyelitis, cystitis, metritis, pyometra, vaginitis, puerperal mastitis, etc.
Systemic treatment of general or local infections: Septicemia, especially by problematic agents, mastitis, wound infections, phlegmon, traumatic reticulitis, whitlow, joint infections, pododermatitis, prophylaxis of the infection after surgical interventions.
Diseases of young animals: Ophthaloflebitis, polyarthritis, pneumonia, pneumoenteritis, diphtheria of calves, swine flu, gastroenteritis, septicemia, etc.
Combined therapy: In puerperal diseases of the sow (mastitis, metritis) the simultaneous application of Orastina® is recommended.
Dose
Indicative dose for all species: Administer 3 ml c / 50 kg of live weight.
Cattle: Adults: 20 to 30 ml. Steers and heifers: 5 to 15 ml. Calves: 3 to 5 ml.
Horses: Adults: 20 to 30 ml. Potrillos: 5 to 15 ml.
Swine: Sows and stallions: 8 to 12 ml. Adults: 5 to 8 ml. Piglets: 0.5 to 1 ml.
Presentation
Ampoule bottle of 50 ml.

Contraindications
During the treatment with Raxidal® the animal must have water to drink.
The solution, at low temperatures, can show exceptionally crystalline precipitations. These lack significance for the efficacy of the preparation and are eliminated after a brief heating (for example with hot water).

Observations
Raxidal® can be injected intravenously (EV), intramuscularly (IM) or subcutaneously (SC). In most cases, only one dosage is sufficient. If in the first 24 hours the therapeutic effect is insufficient or this has not occurred, the treatment can be repeated.
